Thermage Treatment
If one is looking to reverse the signs of ageing, a thermage treatment might one to look into as it is a procedure that is FDA approved, as well as TGA approved. This non-surgical skin treatment is used quite often in Sydney. Effective places on the body for thermage treatment include the neck, the back of the hands, eyelids, the face and the body.
How Does Thermage Treatment Work?
As the skin ages, the natural collagen fibre wears out. Skin then begins to sag. Using Thermage Treatments, radio frequencies are penetrated deep into the skin, which are converted into heat energy. This heat energy will stimulate collagen and signals the skin to create more collagen. Almost immediately, the skin will show the results, as there is an increase in blood flow. This will results in younger looking skin, skin that is tighter and does not sag as much, and fewer wrinkles and lines.
Who Should Use Thermage Treatments?
Thermage treatments are perfect for those that want to make the skin tighter, as well as look younger. Many will use it when sagging skin appears, or when deep lines and wrinkles set in. Others use the treatment after they have lost a lot of weight to tone and tighten the skin. This treatment works wonders on tightening the skin around the abdominal muscles, and many have used it around they eyes and on the buttocks and thighs.
Why Choose Thermage Treatments?
Many will choose thermage treatments since there is no surgery involved. Those that like the results of a complete facelift might be interested in this procedure.

What To Expect
Many clinics that do Thermage Treatments have the same treatment steps. First one can expect to take off all makeup. A gentle cleanser is used for this. Next, on the abdomen, a grounding pad is placed. The treatment then begins, and one side of the face will begin to feel pulses. Only one side of the face is done at a time. After the treatment, one will notice immediate results. To see the full benefits of the procedure, it will take 4 to 6 months. Over the course of the next few years, one will see continual effects of new collagen being produced.
Who Should Not Have The Treatment
There are some that should not have this procedure done. Those include those with a pacemaker, a skin infection, pregnant ladies, or a person with an internal cardiac defibrillator. An obese person will most likely not see results in this treatment, so it should be avoided. As always, before treatment is done, always discuss your medical background with the trained professional doing the procedure.
How Much Does a Treatment Cost?
Average cost of a thermage treatment in Australia is $3,000. Depending on the target area chosen, it could range from $2,000 to $5,000 in most of the capital cities of Australia. Some clinics will offer a price break if the session is booked in advance. The price may seem overwhelming, but do note that this treatment is still less expensive than a facelift and does not require any surgery.
Patients who have undergone this treatment have seen incredible results. After the initial treatment, within 4 to 6 weeks the skin will become softer and wrinkles will be less pronounced. The treatment is quick and many go back to work that same day. The results will last for a great while, and one can enjoy waking up to a vibrant looking face that is younger looking.

Gosh, yes, thermage is the best. I saw improvement after only two treatments. I don’t even know if I’m going to get any more treatments. I saw my skin as dry, colourless and saggy. Saggy skin is disgusting, it makes you look older than you actually are. I am also a smoker, so my doctor told me it’s probably because of that and also just age, genetics. Over the years, collagen just makes the skin full of toxins and dry, so thermage is the real deal, it really takes it all away. It just makes the skin look rejuvenated, and I am not sharing my secret with my co-workers, they are going crazy! They think I had plastic surgery done, but I am selfish, and I’m keeping the secret to myself!

What’s better, thermage or refirme? What about the laser treatments is that like a done thing? Wow, things quickly escalate. New things just keep popping up.

My name is Mary. I’ve had thermage done before. All I can say is, be careful… I had poor results, it’s definitely not what I expected to get after paying so much money. It’s not the cheapest procedure in the whole world.

Is there some kind of an age limit to this procedure? I read that it gives incredible results, but I am over 40. Just wondering what kind of an effect would it have on someone at my age.
