When I frown there is a deep furrow between my eyes?
Wrinkling, especially around the eyes, can be reduced by anti-wrinkle injections into the surrounding muscles, to reduce their function. These injections last for 3-4 months and take about 5-10 minutes to perform. More information

My face seems heavier than years ago.
As people age the effect of gravity and increasing looseness of tissue combine to make the face appear heavier. Many of the treatments available at the ALIA clinic can help reduce this ageing process. Much can be done without extensive surgery or the need for much or any time off work and normal activities. My eyebrows look heavy
Eyebrows can be lifted with either a thread lift or lateral brow lift. A brow lift and laser eyelid reduction can also be of benefit.
The skin of my face appears blotchy.
Australians spend lots of time in the sun and many have skin which is not at all suited to this exposure. Tell tale signs of skin ageing include blotchiness, redness and broken capillaries. Skin looseness is also a problem for many. Intense pulsed light treatment can help with the former two problems and suture lifts and laser re-surfacing can be of benefit for the skin looseness. For mild problems, a series of diamond peels will make the skin more uniform and also thicker.
I have lots of veins over my face and nose.

The lines from the nose to my mouth are heavier.
Naso-labial folds, as they are called, often increase as people age, and in some people they can be quite prominent, a major feature of the face. A range of treatments can soften these including use of dermal fillers, suture lifts and a special technique known as a wire scalpel. Sometimes a fat transfer can also benefit. My top lip is thinning.
Loss of volume to the top lip is the most common lip problem in women and men. This is often accompanied by a decrease in the firmness of the margin between the lip and the skin, loss of the the valley at the centre of the lip and a downturn of the corner of the mouth. All of these problems can be reduced by using a variety of filling agents, some temporary, some permanent or semi permanent depending on need.

I seem to have lost volume over my cheeks.
Flattening of the midface can be improved by some dermal fillers and fat transfer. All procedures can be done with local anaesthetic and minimal downtime.
My hands look old.
Ageing hands are due to three things, discolouration of the skin, prominent veins over the hands and loss of fat volume between the tendons. Broad Band Light (BBL) can treat some of the discolouration and the veins over the back of the hands can be injected and so made to disappear. A fat transfer or dermal filler is a simple way to fill in the gaps between the tendons, and is a very successful local anaestheic procedure.
My crows feet don’t give me character.
