Who is a candidate for hip liposcupture ?

Any women with fullness over the hip or any degree of squareness when looking in the mirror or when viewed from behind. If old clothes tend to sit over the hips or ride up over this area, then liposculpture will be of help as well.

Is it permanent ?

Yes, the reduction in the hips is permanent, the results are seen the following day and there is seldom much bruising at all in this area.

Are there any scars ?

There are generally 2 small 2mm wide access points to treat each hip. These are not sutured after the procedure and essentially are invisible after a couple of weeks.

What support garments are required ?

A special compressive suit is worn for 8-10 days after the procedure.

What other areas are treated at the same time ?

The waist and abdomen are often treated at the same session to give a balanced overall result and the most significant improvement to the torso, though liposculpture to the hips alone is not uncommonly performed alone.

How long does the procedure take ?

Most hip reduction procedures take from between 1 to 1 1/2 hours .

How much time will I need off...?

In general you should plan on taking a day off work. It would be about 3 weeks before normal gym activities or jogging should be restarted.

Can I claim a Medicare rebate ?

No, this is a cosmetic procedure and there is no Medicare rebate.
