The People of ALIA CLINIC
Dr. Mark Goyen
MBBS Hons FFMACCS
Dr. Goyen established the ALIA Clinic in 1998. He started working in the area of cosmetic medicine in 1993. He is the director of medical
services and CEO of the clinic. The aim for the clinic has always been
to provide the highest quality of medical care by using modern
techniques that have been scientifically proven to work. The clinic has
never undertaken any treatments which have not been shown to be
effective in peer-reviewed medical journals. The clinic was the first
cosmetic clinic to be accredited with the Australian Council of Health
Care Standards and positions itself to be proactive in patient care and
safety.
Dr. Goyen began sclerotherapy for the treatment of leg veins in 1993 and
the clinic is now one of the leading centres for the treatment of vein
disease in NSW. The Clinic is the first clinic in Sydney to use
endovenous laser treatment (ELT) using the CoolTouch CTEV laser.
In 1996 Dr. Goyen began performing liposuction procedures using the
tumescent technique. This technique was developed by Dr. Jeffrey Klein,

Paris to study with the legendary Pierre Fournier followed and advanced
the Clinicıs knowledge base on liposuction and fat transfer.

over 12,000 individual body areas and has treated patients from all over
Australia and five continents. Dr. Goyen ran the first courses in
liposuction for the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery in 2004 and
actively teaches doctors who wish to learn these techniques.
He has a special interest in male and female breast reduction surgery.
In addition to these procedures Dr. Goyen performs much other cosmetic
